It’s almost Friday. I’ve never loved Fridays the way I do now. Every Friday is the beginning of a four day weekend for me—no real classes from Thursday until Tuesday, (I don’t count weight lifting on Mondays). These long weekends are the best when I don’t have to go anywhere; this is when I accomplish the most. I love staying home, catching up on housework, school work, eating and rest. If I had one more day—a five day weekend! —, I’d catch up on friendships, send belated email responses and make long overdue calls. My good intentions in this area rarely come to fruition. But I’m learning that that is okay. At different stages in our lives people are put into our paths for varied purposes. I’m grateful for those who influenced me in days gone by and grateful for those who have recently entered my life. There are so many good people in the world and I am blessed to be surrounded by some of the best.
